I know, and totally agree with what you're saying, but i've actually seen what they are talking about first hand.

The problem is that the stock cams for our cars can be off by several degees. One could get luckey, and the another may not, when it comes to clearence issues with aftermarket cams.

I met a guy named John Tymensky of Modular Performance (John basically designed the mod motor) a few months back, when shopping for cams. When i was in his shop, and talking about what cams would be best for me, he actually showed me a pi headed mod motor that had to be pulled because of ptv clearence. I won't say what grind he had in there, but needless to say, there was ptv contact.

If i hadn't seen this first hand, i probably would be going with the Hitech's, CMS, etc.

 

BULL ****. I've talked with Bullet Cams multiple times. CMS and other companies give the specs they want them to grind. And if they say they don't have PTV issues and they do, normally it's because the installer is a dumbass.
