between the 1996-1998 sohc and the pi-1999-04 motor?? i know the heads and intake are the main thing but is there any diffrence in rods and pistons??? or anything elce?

the dish on the pistons. if you do a p.i. head/cam/intake swap on a stock 96-98 block you will have a little bit higher compression. im not sure what exactlly it would be though.

i think its 9:1 to 10:1 so thats it? no crank or rod changes..

i know that the 99-04 gt motor is a good all motor. easy 12's how does it like boost???

Not really . A pi motor usually makes around 220-230 hp stock to the wheels and should be good for really low 14s -high 13s with a pretty good driver. Mod motors love f/i and are not really impressive n/a motors(imo) unless you have a good h/c/i combo.

I wish it was easy 12s (PI) maybe easy 14s high 13s stock
12s are easy with PI motor if you have FI ( Turbo or SC)
I think another differents is the cams also are more lift on PI motors.
