Default clicking noise

Hey guys i'm having a problem with my 2004 mustang gt. It has 56k on it. But anyway when the car sits for awhile when i start it there is a loud clacking noise for about a sec and goes away but it seems after i drive it for about a half hour or so there is a loud clacking again. I thought it may be the rockers, or clutch wearing out but no problems switching gears. I lifted the hood and tried to listen to see where it was coming from but i couldn't really tell. Seems like it could be coming from behind of somewhere in the middle of the engine. Thanks

There is many things that could be and I don't think to many people are going to be able to help you without more information and hearing the noise. Upload to youtube maybe?

I know that my girlfriends 6er had a loud clack that sounded like it was coming from the back of the engine. It ended up being a crack in the right header. And I had a loud knocking noise coming from my 04 GT for a while but it was because coolant was leaking around the lower intake manifold gaskets.

The starting and stopping though... ???

Gonna have to get us a video.

Just a random Q, but what kind of oil filter do you have?
