Default HID kit

are there really any advantages with a 55w HID kit vs. a 35w HID kit? will it still just be a plug and play type of install or do i need a special relay or something?

55w Kits put out a good bit more light than the 35W kits

They can still Plug in the same, I run a 55W HID in my current car. Some will say you need a special harness w/ a relay to prevent it from frying your factory harness. But I have never seen it become an issue w/ a Mustangs.

55w is usually way too bright for stock use... unless you have projectors...

my friend has 55w hid's in his foglights on his 300zx and it blinds EVERYBODY. cuts right through my 20% tints.... its absolutely crazy bright... 55w is too bright unless its in projector housing

and what did u paint ur stock pair with?? you can always clear coat them to make them more transparent. or you can wet sand them down some and respray a coat or two

i did clear coat but they are DARK. guess ill will wet sand them and see if i can clear them up some. i really like the idea of a 55w kit especially if my lights are going to be really dark, plus i can get it cheaper.

i thought they didnt fit in the projector housing...
