They are pretty aggressive for stage 1 cams. I talked to Trick Flow about these grinds, and they highly recommended upgrading the springs. The guy i talked to told me they were good for around 25 hp, but who knows in reality!
I was very interested in these until i came across Bullet Racing Cams, which are the ones i'm going with.

thinking about doing heads later (they come with springs) so im looking the most agressive cam i can get without changing springs. i know ill have to keep it below 6000 rpm but really want the lopey idle more than anything.

You need to change springs with ANY aftermarket cam - I don't care what the manufactuer says.
I mean come on - what is another 600 bucks for insurance and knowing that you're not gonna drop a valve and jack up your engine?

If the lift is close to stock, and you are not revving past 6k, it really is not necessary. It certainly isn't a bad idea, but there is not much benefit if the cam is structured right.

seems like stiffer springs would beat the valve seats in head worse also.
but i may do springs and stage 2's because 2 grand for new heads that are only worth about 35 horse seems like a lot.

From the numbers iv seen posted from now 2 ppl the bullet cams are pretty lame.
With stock heads(if u plan to stay with stock heads) hi-techs own. You dont have to change out springs, but you should change them out regardless of stage or what the company tells you.
