Default Which one will it fit??

I posted a thread earlier today when I decided to purchase an off road x-pipe and I appreciate everybodys input. Now I have one more thing I need help on. When I get the x-pipe, will it bolt straight on to the stock headers or do I have to purchase a header with a certain length (long tube or shorty)? Just to give you guys an idea on what I am trying to do, I just want to go from the mufflers up to the engine, I don't want to replace the entire exhaust system. I already got the two chamber flowmasters put on the car and now it's time for the x-pipe and then maybe headers. And does anyone have any input on what kind of headers I can get that will fit with the x-pipe? Thanks again for all of your input.

should bolt up no problem. one tip when i had my h with stock manifolds is to remove the starter and soak the manifold bolts with pb blaster for about a week. ur gonna be in trouble if u round off or break one of those bolts.

Thanks fisher, yeah, I just figured out that it should bolt right up to the stock manifold with no problem. I just went out to the garage and looked under the car at the mid pipe. Guess I should look at things before I ask questions on the forums. Guess i will be getting shorty headers in the future. Its a like a bad addiction. Once you start buying things for the mustang, you can't stop. Better slow down or the wife might hide my car keys for spending too much money on the car and not on her.

If you plan on changing out the headers later on then just wait and get longtubes and a shorty off-road H pipe. I have heard that x pipes matched up with flows sound like crap.
