nos is a brand, not the same as n2o, paul walker was wrong.

hate is pretty harsh so maybe i should take that back. Back when I was growing up it was called sissy spray for people who wanted the fast track to power. It was the cheap way out and at one time was said to be the dangerous way...but that was all I knew. All the ricers used the crap. I dont have experience with the stuff but I dont particularly like the idea of riding around with a bottle filled with gas sitting next to me. And I sure as hell wouldnt put my kids in a car with that in there. And to make it worse if someone pulls up on side of you are you gonna say...hold on let me get my spray ready. Hell no, I like power when I want it and how I want it. Spray just seems like the cheap crappy way still.

youre doing it wrong.

remote bottle opener and a bottle warmer = good to go, anytime you want

no more dangerous than any other form of FI

bottles will blow off pressure before exploding so they wont blow up

mount bottle in the trunk incase it does blow off for some odd reason, dont want the gas to touch your skin right out of the bottle...itll burn you like freeon

n2o gets a bad name because of dumb people...like ricers with their 25shot and NOS sticker
paul walker
dumbasses who heat their bottles with a torch causing weak spots in the bottle
stuff like that

and before you post the pic of the exploded fbody that had a nos bottle explode in the trunk, that would only happen on a bad bottle, so he probably did not have it recertified and tested like youre supposed to to ensure that the bottle is safe to use

if used properly, nitrous is a very good thing.... people abuse it and try to take shortcuts, which is why it gets a bad rap...that and salty people who bought a supercharger for 4k and got beat down by a stock car with a 1500 dollar nitrous setup

Discuss the cost and hassle of refilling over time, having a limited amount of pulls before refill, and the risk of puddling with wet kits.

The risk of puddling is probably less than having issues with a blower pulley if it's setup right. Of course refilling is no fun, but at $4 per lb. with a 10-15 lb. bottle, it'll take 50+ bottles to equal a blower setup...all things being equal!

Of course both have their pros and cons, but some people may have a hard time forking out $3000-$6000 at one time.

yea im not arguing that its superior to a s/c, but saying that it is worthless or ricer or sissy etc is just plain wrong...to fill a 10lb bottle its like $40, and it should last for a few unless you spray it like crazy all the time... ide rather spend 40 bucks a month to keep my bottle filled than to spend 4-6k on a supercharger...sure it will eventually add up...but that doesnt make nitrous inferior

as for puddling, if the kit is setup right, it should be a non issue....but i wont deny that it does happen...sometimes it just a backfire, but i watched a video of a gto blowing the **** up at the track from a nitrous backfire....i bet he installed the kit himself and failed at it...

dont get me wrong, ide take a supercharger over a nitrous setup with 50 free refills in a heart beat...the money is better spent on the blower IMO....but if the cost of a blower is overwhelming for someones budget then nitrous is just fine also... but to say nitrous is bad just because of some dumb ricers and superstitions is wrong
