I understand the overall concept of a STS but, does the shifter actually center itself when throwing the 2-3 shift so you can just slam it up into third or do you physically have to center it?

A shifter like the MGW sts has a very strong centering spring, so if you barely push it out of 2nd it will automatically pop itself just below 3rd. So you can really just slam it in third.

I had the Steeda TRI ax and now have the MGW night and day difference not only in performance but the quality is bettert,i also like the adjustabillity of the MGW.
