i would just do a pi swap they sell them assembled with cams.you'll notice a big difference don't forget you have to change the intake manifold dont waste your money on the plastic one.deff go aluminum
Maybe someday i would s/c it, but mainly i'm just wanting to build up some toorque and hp, I want something respectable. Nothing crazy, just a mustang that will be able to hold its own, with the updated ones.
you need f/i to keep up with those cars. Most of the newer v8s are at or above 400hp, just building your engine n/a will not help you.
I did the pi swap on my car with stage 2 cams and love it..If you really want to sit back in your seat put 100 shot on it and you make some pretty good torque numbers.
Just get a P/I engine to swap in
Trust me, I should have gone that route back a few years ago
+1 on the pi engine...It is kind of a headache dealing with different stuff for pi head swap. The plus side on the pi engine is you can run a charger later on and not have to worry about having to much compression..
yea I know I'm kinda new to the mustang world, but what are the ups and downs of having a turbo? I've seen em in real life in action and everything, but I guess it may be better to have a S/C than the turbo lag I'd say. I'm around acuras and hondas alllllll day so I know a thing or two about those hairdryers but damn I get em on launch, point being, with a 281 will launching still be an issue? It's a big difference from going to a 180HP car to 230hp stock and then adding a turbo....
