I'm 28 with 1 boy 20 months old and one due in november. I had my car before the kids my wife traded in her truck to get it for me. Believe me I'm in the Marines I don't make that much thats why I look forward to deployments. Tax free and hazard duty pay is great. It goes in to an account for me to do what ever when I get home, and I just got a 38K reenlistment bonus. That went to pay off bills though, and my old pick-up. When I was in college I did a lot of jobs to support my Mustang addiction. Go work for a catering company, that was one of the jobs I lots off fun and money. I owuld come home with about 200 a night plus a pay check every week.

I'm 21, btwn car payment and ins I spend about 700 a month...I work 2 full time jobs tho. So there's usually some left at the end of the month. Uf not then next month. But most of my mods came from selling my foxbody.

Just go to the bank and take out a 10,000 loan... /sarcasm

Im 22 and have a car, apt, and all kind of bills in my name (phone, cable, internet, etc)

I worked at a bar in downtown charlotte for about 2 years FULL time (and by full time I mean 70+ hrs a week) I had no life. I have had odd jobs here and there since I was borne (what can I say, I love to work)

I am now putting myself through school at uncc. (Is a better long term investment I have decided then my car)

How did I budget my money? I worked so much I couldn't spend it on anything. I had to take off work just to put my car in the shop. Thats how I budgeted my money, haha.

I guess I'm the youngster of the group so far haha. I'm 18 in college, but i got scholarships to cover almost everything except for room and board which my parents were happy to pay for since i was saving them so much money with scholarships haha. I work part time at a bar in downtown columbia SC as a server, and can usually make a couple hundred dollars a night. All disposable income, except for the insurance money i owe the parents. I put most of it away and invest a good bit of it. (ford stock actually I've made close to 5k off of ford lol, bought it when it was 1.60 and its up to 7 a share, I'll be cashing out soon and figured hey lets invest this money into a ford). If I want something for my car, I'll buy it, but I'm pretty good about it not being a money hole, and just want a nice street car to enjoy, which i consider it to be so far.. My lesson so far, get a job in a bar haha, you can make so much money as a bartender or server.

It's extremely interesting how many different ways there is to supp a mustang up! It's tough right now, I know! Everyone was affected by this stupid recession but as long as americanmuscle/bbk/brothersperformance/jegs/etc. don't go out of business we'll be alright! haha
keep em coming!

I wish i invested in ford stock but i was afraid to but you win some and you lose some but i feel like kicking my self in the butt for not buying but there is always another chance to invest especially in this economy.

Yea, i had my business and finance teacher in High School about 8 months ago urging me to do so, and I had researched it for my portfolio in class and came to the conclusion that they were not a failing company, so invested about 1/3 of my savings. Very smart lady and I'm glad I did lol. But there are great deals out there right now for investing in the stock market and in real-estate. Real estates going to be my next venture. Deed transfers are going to be my new friend
