For me... Its what I can get in 3.5 wide up front, 15 in diameter all the way around, fronts gotta clear the brakes, and a 275 dr has to fit the back... Weight is a factor, and so is price... So weld draglites are on the car

i think im the best example of what not to do. Basically unless you have tons of money...18s are for looks and 14inch brake clearence. back to the money again...basically looks. If you have money, 14inch brake kits are like 2500 bucks, and light weight 18inch rims are like 500-700ish a rim im sure they get more expensive, but they dont hold up to DD as well, a good size pot hole could cost you the rim. I bought 18s for future clearence and they look cool, but they are so dam heavy they acctually slowed my car down almost half a second in the quarter best time to best time. And the price of my 2 back tires is almost 700 bucks....and thats T1Rs nothing super fancy. 2500 for my wheels and tires, vs id say 1500 bucks on 17s. you just have to choose what you want. the inital cool i got 18s goes away after you have to start looking for more tires....
