As stated I'm a manual, I haven't really seen enough auto slips to evaluate, but I can tell you before I had the gears installed I was trapping 79-80 in the 1/8th. A real tune and having those shift points adjusted to where they should be might be just the key to get that car running the way it should. I'd say a tune would definitely be money well spent.

oh i agree 100% i just got carried away, and bought headers, and x pipe, and a cat back system. because i got a really good deal on all 3 $150 for bbk shorty headers, $125 BBK o/r x pipe, and $300 for SLP lm 1's. i couldn't pass that up at the time. i will for sure be getting a tuner. but now my question is what kind? i've heard good things about diablo, and sct, but is there another one out there that i should look at? and should i get a hand held tuner? or the 4 bank eliminator chip?

I have the Sniper system myself, but I plan on buying the SCT. SCT is probably the most widely used software out there, I don't think you'll have a problem finding a tuner using it. As far as your exhaust, good luck, I've tried that route before. O/R x and LM1's don't mix very well.

yeah i've heard they are very loud and raspy. but i just didnt have the money to get the SLP full length catted x pipe. $419 that will be going towards a tuner, and a custom tune. but i guess we'll see thanks everyone for helping me out, and if you're ever in indiana let me know...might be sweet to go to the track, or just cruse one night.
