Reviews and info please!
Ok, so I live in PA where they require yearly inspection of cars and such. Well my nitto NT555's are just about on their wear markers and probably come inspection time wont pass, after having over 20,000 miles on them, which is impressive. So im just gonna bite the bullet and get new wheels for my car. Im deciding to go with the O.E. Wheels 10th anniversary cobra wheels in staggered sizes 17x9/17x10. So I have a few questions for everyone out there.
1. Has anyone heard anything good about Toyo tires new TQ drag radials? If so, thoughts or reviews on them would be appreciated. Id really like to get them seeing that i can get them for $350 shipped to my door for a set.
2. This might sound dumb, but i want to keep all the same brand tires on all 4 corners. So if i were to go with the Toyo TQ's out back, what tires would you recommend for the front that would last about the same length of time? Im figuring that these tires will last about a year or a little longer.
3. If you suggest that i stay away from the toyo's, which tires should i go with? Street tires on all 4 corners, d/r's in the back and street tires up front, R type compound tires on all 4 corners?
Any input and information of the above questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Were those Nitto 555r drag radials that you got 20k out of? If so that is impressive!
Before i got my Nitto's i talked to someone at Toyo (i think it was them) about these new drag radials. He basically said they would be more like a BFG or MT in terms of stickyness and wear.
BTW, according to this guy, Toyo owns Nitto. I never knew that.

Quote from an article I found, "Toyo says that it will produce tires in Georgia under both the Toyo and Nitto brands."
$350 seems like a good price and worth a try. I couldn't find to many reviews on these tires so would be interested in seeing how they perform.

Yea, here in PA our tires have to be a certain depth of tread in order to be considered legal and road-worthy. But its not just tires, its pretty much everything safety related and emissions related. lol So yea, it sucks. But to answer mrtstang's question, no, they werent drag radials. They were the regular NT555's on all 4 corners. But the buy that i bought the tires from road raced with these tires and then would dd on them for like 3000 miles and he wasnt happy with them. So he just sold the wheels and tires to me for $500. So considering they had some track time on them before i bought them and i still got well over 17000 miles out of them myself, plus the 3000 he put on is impressive. I looked at the one website that i found these tires at and saw that i can get the Toyo TQ's and Toyo F4's in the exact sizes that i want for really cheap. I mean the d/r's are $154 a tire for 315/35-17's and the fronts are 275/40-17's. I would like to go with the T1R tires for the front but they are like another $50 a tire and arent as wide. Do you think i should just get the T1R's for the front or F4's and call it a day and put the extra $100 or so into something else on the car.
