Steel truck 6.0 or Aluminum?

iron block lq4 6.0 gonna shave the heads to bump the compression, arp rod bolts, thinner headgaskets, decent sized cam, edelbrock single plane manifold, holley 750 dp, longtubes with x pipe, probably a plate system as well. gonna run my stock k member for now until i can get an upgrade.

With the money you're gonna put into getting adapters to run the 6.0, why dont you just save the money to get a good k member swap and then put the motor in?

From what I've seen and heard; You'll just need a 94/95 design k-member, the motor sits right in the pocket almost perfectly.

You can make the stock k member work pretty easy. The guy I know just made a bracket and it works fine. Also, I think he used an ls1 intake manifold because the lq4 intake manifold was designed for drive by wire throttle.

Here's a couple pics of his setup before it was complete

While I would not brand swap myself it's big power and it will be a screamer. I hope to play with a lsx someday myself.
