Default wheel fitment

Hey guys. I have been trying to figure this out for a day now and have not found a thread or anything on the website to answer me. Because it appears the only difference between the 18x9 and 18x10 wheels is the offset (which would just make it sit out further, right?) why wouldn't they fit a 2000 Mustang as the rear wheels. I really like these but really want staggered wheels and fatter ones in back, and if these 10" ones would fit somehow, that would be amazing... Does anyone know though? Thanks!!

If you were to install a 1/4" spacer, you would fit this wheel on the rear of your SN95/New Edge. You will have some rubbing on the inside/back of fender, maybe "E" brake cable and possibly exhaust, but nothing a bit of hammering will not solve.

I recommend you have at least 8 threads for the lug-nuts and more if possible.

well it seems like that rubbing would be bad, but is that because it sits too close to the inside of the fender well? and i guess there is really no way to avoid that, haha.

I run a 6~7/8" back-space on my 11" wheels and just took a hammer to the back wall of fender on the inside. You will need to remove our quad-shocks (may be able to just rotate them 180*, but I doubt it) My "E" brake cable is missing the rubber coating next to tire due to rubbing, but not a big deal.

I would expect a 285 tire to fit without major issue, but will require a 1/4" spacer for sure. A 1/2" spacer would probably avoid rubbing all together, but would need to replace your lug-bolts to install one.
