Wow, $300 sounds good compared to the $550 one shop quoted me. I'm still lookin around to find a place that will do it right for a reasonable price. No way I trust myself with it.

Yeah i think im gonna do it like i said over winter break. I have around a month and a half off so i think thats plenty of time to get it done. I would just take it somewhere and have it done but the cheapest quote i got as like 400. Thats ridiculous and i dont have $400 laying around and like someone else said its 180 for the gears and like 2.5x more for the install? makes no sense. Its cause of the damn labor rate. its over a 100 an hour at some places.

My install price was 225 but i bought the gears and bearings myself

BTW watch out for those damn ABS sensors in the rear, my installer broke one of them, but he told me plan on buying both of them because they are a bitch to remove and they are weak plastic. He was surprised he was able to save one.

I like a little north of albany and I had them put in my Doug JR Ehrgood @ The new Wynantskill Service center. He does alot of mustangs and what not and someone on the NY forums told me he was good. The abs sensor was like 80 bucks i think, eeesh
