Oh okay. Well, the Camaro had a lot of stuff done to it already. It had stuff that I didn't know about and I hate that. I want to start with a clean slate and mod it on my own. I'm actually looking at a couple more foxes now... And my money is at 4500.

You could find a really clean fox for that price.

I'm trying but I can't find any... I found one that has had a paint job, full racing suspension, headers and an h pipe but I don't know if I want to buy a modded car again.

Im with above... keep the LT1, your not going to get any big jump in reliability from going from one 15 year old car to another. Unless your car is just plain busted... you can get decent 99-04 GTs with around 100K for less than $5k.

i don't see any harm in buying a bolt-on car as long as its internally stock, that'll just save you the work of doing suspension mods so you can get right to the go-fast mods.

btw 4.10s ftw.

you havent given any info on the lt1 other than "its modded and you dont like that". like stated, transferring to another very old car (12 years old) from a 14 year old car isnt necessarily going to help reliability. you should be able to spend a few bucks in your z28 and make it as reliable as you need and it will be ALOT faster than an npi GT.

however, if you want the mustang for whatever reason, go for it. get a PI swap (can get em for a few hundred bucks) and whatever mods you can afford after that, but hte PI swap has to happen if you want any decent amount of speed.

the speedometer check out dallas mustang speed cal. or you can get a handheld tuner.

Where are you looking at Mustangs at!? Every single one I look at is a 2v 4.6 for 4500+. All with 95K miles or more. I'd like a 1999 or newer under five grand but I can't find any.

And by the way, the lt1 i had was rebuilt by the guy before me and he had no idea what he was doing to it. It's already sold so stop trying to convince me to keep the Camaro lol.

So whats wrong with the ones you found? 100k miles is not a big deal for a 2v 4.6, just look for decent condition.... You can always haggle also

I know, but I'm saying I've never seen a 99+ for under 5500 that didn't have high miles on it. I've found a few nice stangs on craigslist but people don't email back.
