ORLY, every shop iv talked to about says comps need the degreeing to get good gains out of em(I think thats a good explanation as to why comps never yield very good gains..based off ppls dyno numbers here).

I dont think comps can hold a candle to hitechs or CMS cams.

IDR if you remember Doughboy4.6 but he has those cams and since he blew his motor up 3 times, we've never needed to degree his cams. (At least there wasn't any PTV issues.) I can't comment on if he would have gained any if they were degreed but at the minimum, there wasn't any ptv contact.

^^^Their stage 1's will usually drop right in as long as the stock cams gears aren't to far off.

hey SXYNERD how do you like your CMS cams and which ones do you have? Im buying heads and cams for my '02 right now to get my motor complete so i can throw a 2.6 KB on. I want to buy them this week but im trying to get as much feed back from people on what they like. Im buying either the patriot stage 3 heads with comp xe270's or cms 2.5 blower cams. Or getting the DSS racing Fully ported heads with either of those cams or the Anderson F52 cams. I hate decision's. lol

CMS2.5. I love them. I think it's the single best thing I've done to the motor.

Patriots will never be on my car. It will either be fox lake ported heads or trick flow heads with CMS or Bullet cams. Just my opinion.

Yea Im definitly leaning towards spending the extra $400 and going with DSS fully ported heads. I rather spend the money and get brand new castings then spend $400 less and get used castings. Plus DSS's heads flow way better! So made my decision on the heads now gotta make the decision on cams. This has been a 3 week process, lol.
