So without coilovers you need a more stiff spring but when using a coilover setup you do not need as stiff of a spring??? I am somewhat confused. lol
Because a coil-over relocates the spring, the spring becomes more effective. Since the spring is more effective, you don't need as high of a spring rate to achieve the same wheel rate as if you were running a stock location spring.
But with a stock style spring, you need a heavier spring rate to replicate the stress the upper control arm bind caused???
Basically. MM has two different spring rates for TA springs. Talk to them about which one you should run. They lower the car slightly but with the adjustable LCA's you will be able to set the height and corner weights anyway.

So adj. shpecial uppers < phb/WL and TA, is this just for some cases or just drag racing?
It depends on what you want. A PHB/TA or WL/TA is much better than our 4-link for cornering. For drag racing you could use this set up but you could go for a much cheaper set up using adjustable UCA's. The 4-link is fine for drag racing if you upgrade the control arms alla round.
But since i already have adjustable shocks and struts, i think im gonna do coilovers...especially if they offer better ride quality than stock style suspension. Plus it will save me money on buying the adjustable ride height lower control arms...which equates to almost a hundred bones which i could put into my coilover kit and then have the ultimate adjustability and ride quality.
You will have to find a rear coil-over kit for those shocks/struts. Also make sure that they are properly valved for a high enough spring rate. Matching the valving of the shocks/struts with the spring rate is important.
Yea, convertibles have really flimsy subframe connectors factory but they dont really do anything. So you should probably get MM FLSFC's. Any of our year stangs should get FLSFC's.
