Get a photobucket account, upload the images there, and then copy and past the IMG address into the quick reply box like you would normally to respond to a post. That will get the pictures bigger.

No problem. I had trouble with that the first couple times i tried to do that. Your motor does look a little wider than a 4.6...but it might just be me. I dont know.

...the oil thing (where one adds oil to the motor) is normally on the passenger side on the 4.6 2V motors. Maybe that really is a 5.4 V8.

if any of you guys have pics of your engine bay that could help me out. particularly if it is 96-98. who knows if there were some subtle differences.

Here is a 1996 4.6 GT. The oil cap is on the driver side. Everything looks the same except for the red pain on the block. So def leaning towards a 4.6.
