Ok, explanation of exhausts...
O/r means no cats and will have a very hallow, wide open sound
Catted means it will be emissions legal and will be slightly louder than stock and add slight performance.
X pipe will sound more like a race car, and different designed x pipes will sound different(Magnaflow, Bassani, and UPR designs all sound different from eachother).
H pipe will sound more like a muscle car
Prochamber is a nice mellow midpipe with a combination of sounds between the h pipe and the x pipe but is slightly muffled due to the packing in the chamber of the midpipe.
Longtubes will mellow out the sound slightly and will add horsepower and will give you the best sound.
Shorties are a waste and wont do much to the sound and power. Not enough gained to make the price of the headers and install worth it.
another thing to consider is that aluminized steel and stainless steel sound different from what i've witnessed.
Catbacks, its up to you what sound you want.
Here are some typical exhaust combo's seen in the mustang world:
1. o/r h pipe and flowmasters
2. o/r x pipe with SLP LM1's
3. o/r h pipe with SLP LM1's
4. catted x pipe with borla stingers
5. prochamber with MAC catback
6. o/r x pipe with magnapacks
And something else i've heard is that the steeda catback is the regular borla catback(not stingers). Just what i've heard though.
Good luck and keep us posted on what you end up doing.

This is also a great article about exhaust. Catback is the place to start, then start shopping around for a LT/Mid combo for it when you get the $$$. I personally love Bassani, Borla, and SLP.

My Cobra has an O/R H pipe, and some kind of Flowmasters muffler on them. I'm not a fan of Flowmasters personally, but they do sound awesome on the Cobra with that set up. Only problem is, they're loud, very loud, some times it's almost annoying how loud they can be, but it does get peoples attention. If I get extra money (that means money not going into the 95 or my future house), then I'll swap out the mufflers to Borla or Magnaflow, but I have to say, whatever type of Flows is on my Cobra sure sounds pretty good, very throaty with that good old American muscle kind of tone in them.
