Left Side Rattling

Default Left Side Rattling

When I rev my engine to around 3k there is a wierd metallic rattling noise on the left side of my car...anyone had this problem or have ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

Wouldn't they rattle even when sitting still and applying throttle though?

Not always. Sometimes a certain rpm vibrates the car just right. My 66 would do it at 2800 and then again at about 3800. Never did it anywhere else.

"the problem was the spacer plate between engine and transmission contacting the back of the engine"....do you think this could also be a problem?

Could be that... then again it could be tons of things. Thats why we have mechanics lol
