assuming that the 03 mustang isn't drive by wire, i would put about 1/2 to 4 inches of slack in the throttle cable.

get lots of speeding tickets so that if you get one more point on your license you will loose it thus making you drive slow everywhere.

every time you go to a gas station, punch your self in your "cash and prizes", there by mentally conditioning you to want to stay very far away from gas stations, forcing you to drive conservatively

buy one of those gas line magnets or "turbo" intake fans that will "drastically" improve your MPG

drive with your grandma in the passenger seat and take all of her driving criticism very literally

attach a sail to the roof of your car and on windy days let the breeze take you where you want to go

cancel your car insurance, this will both save you money for gas and make you drive very slowing in fear of wrecking without insurance.

put some water in your gas tank, this will raise your fuel gauge and make your car run like crap, discouraging you from driving aggressively

install a massive, ricer, fart can muffler on your car that sounds so loud and horrible at WOT that it will be too embarrassing to drive at WOT.

i've got plenty just let me know if i haven't saved you enough gas and i will keep going

seriously though, what kind of MPG are you getting now?

I know, me too, it would be a lot easier if I didn't need to hold that blasted pedal to the floor.

But yes, not speeding is the biggest issue, don't go over 60mph, after that I forget how quickly it starts to drop. And also the whole hurry up and wait is gas killer too. racing to a stop light or accelerating to get into another lane to only hit the brakes a second later will murder mpgs.

these are good ideas, or just take all your mods off the car that make it fun to drive, put ear plugs in so you can't enjoy the sound of the car... then you won't have the enjoyment of stomping on the throttle

Your not going to get good mpg with a modded car and there really isint anything to do to bring your mpg up unless you return it to stock. I think I get about 8mpg city in my car and I have learned to live with it. I went out and bought a svt focus for my dd so I can save on gas.

technically the best gas mileage mod is engine delete... it hurts performance though, lol

Yea it use to be a little better but after I did more mods and got rid of the EGR that's when my mpg really went down. Plus its hard to stay out of boost

EGR removal means less mpg??? What will this do for performance??? Just curious.
