Default Mac prochamber

Does anyone have a mac prochamber mid pipe? I want to get the mac long tubes and complement it with the mac prochamber but first i want to know how they perform and sound. I see that a mac o/r h-pipe is about $100 less than the prochamber. Is it any better than a h-pipe?

My brother has one. It's a little quieter and smoother sounding than the a o/r h or x, but it has a unique tone that's hard to describe. To me it's almost like a high flow catted h pipe. As far as power and performance gains, they're all basically the same. Don't let anyone kid you. The only difference between midpipes (catted or not) is a slight shift in the powerband that can make the car feel a tad different.

Is it a a good unique strong tone? Would you recommend it over a h-pipe?

I personally prefer the h pipe, but i know a lot of people like PC better. It's not as rugged, unrefined, and loud as the h pipe, but rather a smoother tone (depending on the rest of your exhaust) that's still deep.

It really depends on what kind of sound you like.

I have mac cat back right now with bbk shorty headers and an o/h pipe. And it does sound very loud and aggressive, but that also has to do with my cams. I like the loud, aggressive sound so i might just stick to the h. Im going to check youtube videos with cars with the prochamber.

Yeah, the h pipe will make the cams sound more choppy for sure.

I love the sound of the prochamber with chambered mufflers. They make the perfect combo of an x pipe and an h pipe in my opinion. If they werent so expensive for an o/r midpipe, i'd get one. But i'll just keep what i got for now.
