meth injection hp increase numbers

Very true teej. People tend to mix up the reasons why fuel curves are so much richer under wide open throttle conditions. Take for example a mustang running 10psi on a centifugal blower. A "safe" tune will have the a/f ratio right in the mid 11/1 range. This is not because it makes the most power there. Actuall most boosted apps will make most power in the low to mid 12/1 range. Unfortunately, the extra fuel is needed to cool keep temperatures down far enough to prevent detonation. This is where some hp can be gained back by leaning out the fuel curve and keeping the intake charge cool by some other means, in this case, meth injection. The same thing goes for timing. Most tunes aren't running the tha max timing for power output either for the same reasons. The more timing you run, the more likely you will be to run into detonation. A meth kit would allow more timing than pump gas will allow you to run by itself. On the timing side, it has similar effect of running much higher octane fuel.

Its like running 116 octane race gas from my understanding. I might look into a meth kit for n/a for the time being and then once i FI it, just adapt the kit to run with the FI. I dont think it could hurt really.
