OP, in your case i might let the quad shocks on until you upgrade control arms...but yea, everything listed should work out to be a reasonably light car.

You don't think the BBK tubular control arms are decent?

well, let me say this. Driving with a HIGH power, low weight car, is a BITCH. I mean, we're talking my car was 2900lbs without me (yes, I'm a fatass (somewhat)(I'm also used to parentheses)), had a viper spec t-56 in it, and had 550+rwhp.

Do you have any idea how hard that car was to control in first, second and third gears, with anythng but nittos on the back?

Hell with nittos, only third gear eased up, and second was only useable on the top end.

Personally, when I put most of the luxury **** back (I love how I now call that **** luxury(you know, the stereo, ac, and all that other ****(and yes, now I'm using parentheses to **** ppl off, lol))), the car was much easier to drive. It responded better under throttle, but that's probably just my perception since I was more comfortable with the good stuff in it.

If you're taking **** out for the track, that's great for you, but I don't do that. I like knowing that the car I drive on the street is the same one I drive at the track, and personally, I've become acustomed to a full interior.

I guess, what all this shiznit means (and you'll remember that if you've seen dickie roberts), don't loose weight, compensate with power!!!!!

Yeah, I'm not gonna be pulling crap out for trips to the track. I was more looking of ways to lighten up the car a bit to take best advantage of the power I have and will be making. If I can drop 100lbs without looking all fast and furious inside, then I'll be happy.

I'm pretty sure with tubular k, a-arms, wishbone + quad shock delete, rear seat delete, and aftermarket seats up front, I'll be there...maybe even more than 100lbs lost. I'm not pulling the radio or a/c or anything like that. This is a street car, and like you said, i want this thing to be the same on the track as I drive it on the street. I don't think any of the things I mentioned are gonna make me cringe when I drive the thing.

Jmac, yeah it was on a 1/4 tank and I was not in the car. I have no desire to run dumps, but my borla is probably half the weight of my stock exhaust already. I'm definitely keeping the A/C and insulation. I think the K-Member is an awesome idea as well as tubular A-arms. Lighter aftermarket seats is something that I have wanted to do since I bought the car. I wouldn't consider that an inconvenience, these stock seats suck!!!
Seats are definitely a good idea. I made that purchase last year so that I could actually keep myself in place when turning.

Jmac, those look awesome! are those the CR1s? did they bolt right in or did you need a separate mounting kit?

Thanks.

They are FX1 Pro's. The CR1 allows you to recline while these do not. They are just a shell with the covering and padding.

3340 with a full tank and no one in it. With a 1/8 tank, no spare or jack and a off road pipe its about 3200

Those are sick....Looks like a set of those and a tubular K are next on my mod list. Damn, I still have parts waiting to be installed and I'm already thinking about buying more mods. Something is wrong here
