Default rubbing issues with quad shocks

Hey guys, got new rims for spring and they look great (no pictures yet). Had some rubbing with the quad shocks against the tire in the normal position so I flipped them like most members suggest. There was no rubbing on the wheels then but there was rubbing on the quad shocks to the normal shocks (metal to metal). It wasn't real bad but it made an annoying noise around turning on uneven ground, like going into a driveway. So i removed them completely to see how that worked and the wheel hop was so bad it felt like my teeth were going to break. I even had bad wheel hop in 2nd gear...

Has anyone had rubbing issues with flipped quad shocks on the other shock? I was thinking of bending the bracket a little to make a bit more room. Ideas?

just take the quad shocks off.. if you have aftermarket control arms.

I have stock rear suspension besides rear kyb shocks and MMFLSFC's. I have tried removing them and the wheel hop was extreme, I have not tried it again because I don't want to break anything.

I can't buy anything else right now because im still paying off my wheel/tire combo, lol. I will get LCA's next however, then a TA and panhard set up.

But yea, bending brackets? maybe denting the quad shock a little? I think I will reinstall the quad shocks backwards and try to find some clearance somewhere.

if you dent the shock you may as well have just taken it off.. its a piston, if you dent it, you impede its function. you might try and make a new bracket.

not that this helps you, but i am running quad shocks (from NAPA) and they do not rub with the others, they are within like a 3/8" or so

fixed the issue a bit back by grinding the metal insert of the bushing on one side and spacing it with washers so that it moved over a bit. Now I have 315's with my quad shocks without rubbing.
