I know what you are trying to say, however if you can run a 13.5 with a 1.90 60' time, if you can cut your 60' down to a 1.80 you will pick up an easy couple tenths at the big end. The key to good ETs is the first 330'

For example, the other night, my truck... couldnt break a 1.94 60' (street tires) and I was running 12.86@109. Last May same setup I cut a 1.88 60" and ran a 12.72@109. Just .06 gave me that much of a better time. If I cut a 1.80 I would be well into the 12.60s no issues.

And I know for a fact that my truck runs 12.4xx@110, with a 1.6xx 60' on a good tire

i supose your right its not so much just the 60 as it is the whole 330, but still remains ive seen great 60 foot times and what people would consider a good run(meaning no missed gears or anything) with a lower trap and ive seen slightly worse 60s with faster trap and better ET, i guess there probebly isnt much logic to it...lol

I don't think anyone here put that forth as a blanket statement, it would be as silly as saying "4.10s are best". The whole thing is as you said quite correctly in a earlier post:

This is all 110% true, so it remains that IF one has not, or is not planning on, making the supporting mods needed to make 4.10s sing the 3.73s are better, or as the OP found pretty much the same...

My car will cut a 1.60, regularly...there's no bog, etc... And I'm not making great numbers... Stock motor, no cats, magnaflows welded in and a 100shot... That's nothing special. So plenty of guys here can do it to.

As for your trap speed... The only benifit that has, to me, is it tells you what et your car has potential for... If u see a vette run 13.0 at 135...we know its a 10sec capable car, or atleast it has the power to.

The big big thing, that a lot of ppl forget, and this thread kinda proves. Is that its not all about hp, or 1 mod... Its making a car work well as a whole and building your ENTIRE set up to work with itself. If OP puts a good tire and control arms on his car, hell see my point.

And no, there's NO reason for a mustang to run slower w a better 60ft... None what so ever except driver error, or equipt problems

i have lower control arms, and the night i ran the kid in the camaro i had hoosier slicks and it pulled my front wheels off the ground an inch, the mods in my sig arent up to date lol...now if i went to the track with the hoosiers the numbers obviously would be different, but when i raced the camaro once 4th gear came he ****in blew past me
