good idea or bad idea

I have my lower intake off and I was thinking this might be a good time to spray some carb cleaner into each intake on the head to clean it up before I install my new lower intake??

I wouldn't, doesn't make any sense to wash crap down into the cylinders and then let it sit there and seep down into the ring lands until you get it all back together and fired up...
