Ya but N/A you picked up very little, correct?

Yes, n/a i picked up 6 hp, but the car felt stronger. As we all know dyno numbers do not always tell the whole story. Obviously, with just bolt ons there will be little difference regardless of the type of headers used, but do a power adder or a HCI package, and i believe it will be a different outcome.

Also, long tubes sound better IMO.

again im not doubting that LT are a better buy. I know they are, but they cost a lot more th an the shorties ive found, and they will likly create clearance problems. So im just looking at it from the point of view of i have the motor out, so install is a easy, and they are cheep, hell i bought under drive pullies, you think they might be a better buy than those? lol i mean i imagine there is at least some gain from shorties.

MY opinion is headers is not worth it at all unless your spraying or running over 400hp. My friend only picked up 9ish hp with his H/C's after the Longtubes (MAC) , Sure anything that helps the car breath better is a plus but 400-1000 bucks (including headers and install) is pretty hefty for gains under 20.

Headers make the exhaust sound better, both shorty and longtubes.

keep in mind, good deal on ceramic shorties...i wouldnt expect much from them, but a few hp anywhere, would be good enough for me.

You will gain a little power but not much as everyone has stated. Your car will sound better with either LTS or Shortys.

And wannabe......what makes you think shortys will lose power in low-mid range but LTs will pick up power LOLs.

Theoretically, the primary length has a direct relationship with where the power will be made. Shorter primaries are better for top end. Its a pretty documented fluid flow principal.
