That likely justifies it...

Seafoam was first sold as a "cure" for marine engines that were improperly stored for months in shacks by the ocean, or consistently run cold because of the crappy sort of cooling systems employed back then--hence the name Seafoam.

Unless you engine has been horribly maintained (or improperly stored in a boathouse for 6+ months) there is NO need, ever, to subject it to Seafoam.

I have not had any need or desire to use it in nearly 50 years of taking care of all sorts of motorised thingys...

This is the sort of engine that would benefit from Seafoam (it's a Toyota V6, but I've seen American V8s in th same ****-poor condition):

Keep the damned oil clean!!!

I had a photo of an '03 Cobra that was worse (if you can believe that)--I can't find it now but it was enough to make a grown man cry...

Damn, I must be too damn arrogant for anyone to listen to me. No one believes me but cliff pops in and it's golden words. I can't wait till I'm "well seasoned in years", lol.

I'm smart I promise. I have degrees and everything.

This is quite true.

I have dabbled in a number of the other forums, and many of those have a distinctively unpleasant "culture". The regular participants here are a lot more focused on open discussion, debate, and solving problems as opposed to making them...
