Boy I remember getting stuck in traffic when I was still learning, with my first manual. Not fun having everyone honking at you.

Damn, I am trying really hard, and I cannot for the life of me remember learning how to drive stick...I just know how..wtf?

I think I may have had my memory erased...it's a conspiracy I swear!

To the OP- Simple things to get you started with a mustang and learning stick.
Learn to Feel it, by hearing it and seeing it first. On your first outings with it, leave the radio off and listen to the exhaust note, compare that with the pedal feel. On the very first time, to learn where it grabs, go to flat parking lot. Put it in first and let the clutch out as slowly as you can, im talking 15 secs or more. Do NOT use the gas pedal. The car will start moving forward. This will show you where the grab point is. Now, do the same thing only release a little bit faster, and add a tiny bit of pressure on the gas pedal. Do this several times, slowly increasing the speed of which you release the clutch each time, while adding more gas each time. This will teach you the basic starting in first, and you will be able to feel the pedal by the time you are done.

The rest will come with driving it...

haha, the first time I drove in traffic I got pulled over (tint on my car was too dark) I didn't know where to park because I was downtown and I wasn't totally comfortable driving stick yet either, and I was 16 so just the thought of getting pulled over scared me to death... all because my father and I were not "aware of the pennsylvania state tint law"

when you're learning to drive stick, just be patient, pay attention to what you're doing, and don't get frustrated if you stall out, try and keep calm, goodluck!

yeah especially in central PA it's unbelieveable. I'm living outside of Harrisburg for school and I leave my car at home because I can't drive anywhere without getting pulled over.
