I would keep the car and get it fixed. I would put the stock bumper on or if you really want a new rear bumper get a 01 cobra rear. Don't put terminator body parts on such a nice and rare car. Putting terminator body parts on all different kinds of stangs is really starting to get played out.

 

id personally keep the appearance of that particular car stock, u even have the stock rims, looks good, very desireable..thats y i said change the rear bumper if u really like it better...i like the stock look on that car....and i agree mustang3gt07, there are a handful of things getting played out lol....us GT guys cant help but have cobra envy though, thats y all the cobra body parts end up on GT's lol

 

O be leave me, i was flipping **** inside the car before i got out almost threw the keys threw the windshield, somehow i managed to not kill the guy who hit me (Still donno how i pulled that off)

Between thinking about it and talking with my father, ur all right, it really isn't worth it and moronic totaling it, just kinda mentally shot today since after the accident...And i would love to repaint the whole car but it would cost way to much with repairs, I brought it to an amazing shop, they painted my fathers chevelle beautifully and really do amazing work and they quoted 8k to repaint the whole car when i asked

ima Broke college kid who just spend ALL his money on this car lol, so im kinda limited on options, And the color is a double edge sword, beautiful, but a bitch to repaint

Now that was the first thing that made my smile since 1:00 lol

 

i thought u have insurance? theyd be paying for the repairs, u only pay a deductible...and if its not ur fault the other person is going to have to pay for it, not u, so once u get cut the check u can really do whatever u want with the money they give u

 

I do, but the insurance company is paying for cost of repairs, so money SHOULD be going right to the repair shop, plus the guy at the shop told me he wouldn't want to repaint the whole car because its so expensive...but i think ima have to just tell him it has to be done, its a collectors car can't have miss-matched paint

 

just be glad it isn't a Mystic or Mytichrome Cobra

 

if u say it has to be done and the bodyshop backs u up to the fact that it is a potential collectors item and should be completely repainted then their insurance will cover it...insurance is to cover all repairs within reason caused by the accident...they are supposed to return the car to at least the condition it was in before the accident...so if the whole thing has to be repainted for it to be perfect again then all that has to happen is the body shop needs to back it up...

O and the cop at the scene didn't take my or my two witnesses accounts into effect when he filled out the report cause even though both saw it clear as day he "clams" there views were obstructed, bear in mind im 19, the two other people there were 18, and like 26, the the dude who hit me was like 60...even my insurance agent said theres no way he coulda hit me where he did without it being his falt...


And yes thank you lol i have to go down tom anyways cause the rental they gave me is like a 88' olds on it's last leg, and i needa drive like 50miles a day...n at like 6mpg...$$$$

 

And is there anyway to prove it's a collectors car? lol cause the guy seemed pretty against repainting the whole thing, but hey donno till u try! (Sry for all the long posts, just needa vent somehow)

 

if u were hit in the rear it is not your fault. period...they cannot possibly blame it on you..and ur statement prolly wouldnt matter because all ud have to say would be "i got hit from behind", if its obvious wat happened ur statement doesnt matter... its not ur fault, im 100% positive this is what the report will say and their insurance will cover it, unless the person that hit u is affiliated with law enforcement in any way, then it may be written as a "no fault" accident which would mean ur own insurance would have to take care of it
