The people who keep saying the whole "but it doesn't sound like a v8 lololol" thing sound so petty. WHo gives a crap? Are you saying you'd be happy to loose to a boosted Evo by 10 cars just because your car sounds "better"? Sounds pretty goofy to me.

Anyways, yah the new V6 is def a winner. Never in my life would I have said "I will buy another v6 Mustang" but you REALLY can't go wrong with this thing. 305 hp, 6 speed tranny, 31-mpg, AND it's cheap 21K price tag? Just IMAGINE when these things go for dirt cheap when they're used in 2-3 years. People buying 305+ hp cars for less than 15K. If I have enough, I'd probably save for one as a daily driver. Really impressed with this new car...I'd take one over my 03 GT anyday.

he's getting this for a DD, so as such the sound during normal everyday usage may be something he'll miss. I don't know about you but the last time I was at an hpde, I didn't sit there as I was struggling to hit the apex with a stock gt suspension wondering how does a miata that sounds like a prius pass me?!?!?!?!

I am all for he new v6's would love to own one if they ever put the sho engine in it I'd be pretty damned tempted.

My general point is much broader than these two cars. I'd rather have amenities over a sound, especially when considering a DD.

I have a 1996 mustang GT and a 2006 Mazdaspeed 6. The mustang is pretty primitive, no AC, no CD player, speakers don't get loud enough to hear them over the exhaust but the car makes about 170 more whp than the MS6. Which car do I like to drive??? That's right, the MS6.... why you ask? Simple, when I'm using a car for a DD, there are sooo many more things to consider than speed and the "V8 sound".

If the better sounding car looses to a boosted EVo, how does the 'lesser sounding' car fare? Is it even in the same county?

Right, but everything is just talk and comparing 'whats on paper' versus actually driving the two cars back to back and then making the decision.

It's not like the 5.0 is going to be only fitted with roller windows and manual steering, either. Both V6 and GT should still be decently loaded, even if they are base models.

Some people make it seem like others would shoot themselves in the ***** with a rocket launcher if it meant they could drive the V8 over the V6 or a 4 banger...lol

You see, I think we're actually arguing the same point... I don't get why people are completely counting out the V6... just because it's a V6.. because it's not a V8, you can't own it? Lame

Why does it matter what your DD sounds like? I know I don't. I'd drive a crappy 4 banger just as long as it gets me from work everyday and gets decent gas mileage doing it.

The way I see it is that I lose 2 cylinders, and I still am upgrading.. More power, nicer interior, faster, looks sweet (after I get ahold of it), warranty, 31 MPG, low car note...
