Pro car theives are smart enough to know that it takes a minimum of 30 minutes to defeat the PATS, and that a '03 GT (however modded) just isn't worth the risk...
I could never ever imagine walking away without locking my doors. Its so habitual I would like feel soooo dirty not locking it. Its like walking around with no wallet or underwear, **** just doesnt feel right. I usually keep a bag of tools/roadside assistance/parts in my trunk and my tuner in my cab. I guess those are the only things of "interest" to get unless you want my mix CDs, clear eyes and the ocassional pack of candy LOL. But still knowing this I refuse to not lock it, its almost a matter of privacy and rights. Punks could just screw your car up The Big Lebowski style and it would ruin your week.

I think you misunderstood me, I'm not saying get insurance then mod the car and don't tell them and keep the receipt. Take the receipt to show how much you paid for the part and then you get your new monthly rate.

E-surrance or Progressive, I can't remember which one, will insure aftermarket mods up to $3000. It is cheap too.
