Default Remanufactured calipers?

Are remanufactured cobra spec calipers the same as buying oem cobra calipers?

I got screwed on the calipers that i bought. Some guy put course thread banjo bolts in a fine threaded caliper, thus cross-threading everything. The calipers need to be re-tapped, re-threaded, or helicoiled. Or the lines can just be welded onto the calipers. However, i think i may just give my calipers in for a core charge and get some remanufactured ones... I think that they would work just as good as OEM, no?

Can anybody shed some light on this topic?

After the core charge, i will be spending more on this brake set-up than if i just bought new... I am seriously getting screwed from every which way over the last few days...

First the calipers are cross-threaded
Now my car got hit and run
There are a bunch of other personal things, but what's next?

you would probably be be very happy with reman. typically, reman is just fixing parts and making them like new, but they cant be sold as new. i'd say it may be your best bet man.. sorry to hear bout the issues

Yes remanufactured calipers will work fine. they usually are just OEM calipers that have been rebuilt.
What is wrong with re tapping the calipers?

I just haven't found the right bolt to tap it to. I am running out of patience and am just ready to fork over the money for working/new calipers like i should have done in the first place by buying new...

I'll see what the core charge is for new calipers... I still may get out of this at around $300 for the complete front brake set-up... I just wanted to make sure that reman's are as good as OEM's
