Do you have a tuner? Set the rev limiter to like 2500 hahaha. He will think something is broke

Exactly what I would do.

exactly the reason for a valet mode. Rev limiter at 3500 and a limit on the speed to 25mph.

You gotta give ppl the benifit of the doubt unless you've heard stories that he's done things such as this. Revving up your engine a few times anyways it's gonna kill your car, you prob hurt your car more on a daily occurrance that what some kid could do in 30mins. If his names gotten around (seems like it has) then he'll prob after repeat business and wouldn't want to do anything to hurt his rep.

He is telling me that he can make all of that haze go away (I also have oxidization on my spoiler) that MOST definitely wont go away by conventional methods.

And yea.. I can tell him not to take my car for a spin, and yes I am going to take note of the odometer reading, but then he could still rev it up and stuff? Idk, im paranoid because I put a lot of money into this car.
got to learn somehow. i didn't know how to detail anything until i got to work. if you have the time, i would say go for it yourself. you might be surprised by yourself.

as for the kid...im sure he won't do anything to your car. that would make him look bad, which would hurt his business, which would lose him money. where did you hear of this guy from?

yeah man I wouldn't worry about it too much.. not saying your car isn't awsome, but im sure it wont be the first GT he has ever seen in his life..... why don't you just hang around with him while he does it?

BTW, valet parking.... that is something you need to watch out for... I know too many valets that go crazy in ppls cars.... haha

All great input guys. Thanks. I am randomly his friend on facebook lol. Everyone that has a nice car seems to be friends with him on facebook, whether they know him or not. He posted a status saying that he's really good at detailing and I guess his dad has been doing it for 18 years and taught him a lot.

I WISH I had a tuner Can the SCT Livewire tuner set that valet mode?

i can certainly understand where you are coming from. When my stripes were fuxored and the roush qtr louvers the dealer put on the car were messed up they sent someone down to get the car. turned out to be a 20 year old kid with a gleam in his eye when he picked the car up. I worried all day about what the kid was doing. He was a metal goth looking dude with a ring on each of his right hand fingers. When i got the car back there were little scratches all over the metal shift **** the premium interior comes with from his damn skull rings. i wont even let the wife drive the car, i certainly didn't want some stranger driving it. anyway, that said take it to him and take the keys w u. He has no reason to drive the car if all he is doing is a detail. Park it where he wants it and take the keys.

i can tell you first hand that people can mess stuff up driving a car ten feet. My brother worked at one of the car washes where they pull your car around for you. they actually think its funny to try and get the cars sideways. i saw one pulling my 05 around hit the damn metal guide rail so hard with my car that eh front wheel came off the ground. He drove the frame up it because he dumped the clutch six feet from the damn entrance to the wash and went sideways. i was beyond pissed but thankfully it didn't break anything. That was the last time anyone but me washed my car or drove it.
