cam question

Default cam question

i found some cams locally and wonder if they would be too much for a basically stock motor. im sure they are but didnt want to rule them out if they would be ok. here are the specs. let me know

stage 4 cams Lift Int .621 exh .612 Duration Int .278 Exh .274.

Those look like crower stage 4's and they will not work with stock motors. They are very very aggressive cams for built bottom end cars that have heads and an aftermarket intake manifold that has valve reliefs notched into the pistons.

thanks guys this is what i thought as well considering these are close specs to what i had my built 347 fox using. figured id just check and make sure though

Is that the advertised duration or the duration at .050"?

Those will both coil bind the stock springs and PTV the stock valves.
