Went for a drive to pick up the gf and get some gas. Rolled the window down just like everyday but when I pulled in the driveway it wont go up

The passenger side goes up and down fine. I cant hear the motor running when I press the button. But I do hear a click noise. I removed the buttons from the door and tried moving the one from the passenger side to the drives side to see if it was simply a faulty switch. The passenger side one switched over didnt work either. Now im stumped. Please help, I need my window up :/

 

So I called a local guy that does this and found out that I can punch/kick next to the speaker while holding the window up button.
I guess it's my motor.

Anyone know how much they run?

 

check carparts wholesale they start at like $45 it may not be th motor mine does the same like 2 times throughout th month then just starts wokin within th same day

 

you sure its not the "one touch" module or whatever the F ford calls it? if those go bad your window motor will act like its not plugged in. i would test it with a multimeter before you start throwing cash at a problem that might or might not exist.

 

i have had this problem two or three times. like stated i had success with the hit/punch method while holding the window up/down button. did you try that and it didnt work? the instances are too far apart in time for me to start troubleshooting it on my car, so i havnt looked deeper into it. i figure its just another "feature" included in my deluxe package gt lol.

 

shoulda kept my mouth shut on the subject bc mine just started it again today its stuck in the up position again and i tried kickin the speaker while holding the down button and it still wouldnt go down

 

Uep, just bang next to the speaker on the door panel. I had it happen on the Bucket twice. I never had to replace the motor. Hope you are as lucky.

 

The hit/punch method worked for me.

I hope this doesnt keep happening. I have better ways to spend the money I barely have lol
