Gonna need a new intake manifold as well.
Damn was it that much?

Anyone on here still talk to him on another board? I haven't talked to him in a long time. He had a pretty good build process thread in the sticky section on engine assembly. He spent WAAAAY less on that car that people would think, the man knew how to do everything himself, so his cost just wasn't there in alot of things like most of us. But jeez, tell him his control arms weren't too hot for the twisties, and he'd take your head off! lol He was the first one I heard on here review the NT05's, and everyone gave him crap about it and didn't believe him, now they are a proven tire lol.

Your s-trim will meet your goals of 550-600 with the right set of heads and cams and intake manifold.......If you want more than that, then you will need a bigger blower. Like others have stated, the fuel system will need to be addressed as well.

Don't mean to jack this thread but to ensure that I'm on the right track need you guys advice. On my car I pretty much have all the bolt on (except LT's but I have shorties) including cams. I really want to get to the 500 RWHP range by next July. As you can see in my sig I will be installng a Vortech V1 T-rim S/C next month. Also I'm looking at buying a MMR 600 shortblock by next May (2011). Along the way I plan on replacing my heads and either going with the new Trick Flow Heads or maybe Fox Lake, havent decided yet. Will that combo put me close to 500 RWHP. Once again I didn't mean to jack the thread but I've already started putting money to the side for the 500 RWHP build. In buy the way 600 RWHP will be the goal for 2012 (please don't tell me wife)....

dude really?

1) WHY the hell would you waste money buying an mmr600 in 2011, just to turn around and try to push MORE than the shortblocks rating in 2012? start with an mmr800/900 for 300$ more than an mmr600 and save yourself from having to buy 2 shortblocks in a years time.

2) will TFS heads, cams, and a blower get you 500rwhp assuming your shortblock can handle it? supporting mods are the only limitation at that point...
