high rev in park

I got a 1998 4.6 GT auto. Rpms stay high for a few seconds when you rev it in park any help would be nice.

its a mustang problem, look in the stickies (either general, 4.6, or 4.6 general i forget where it is) and theres some how-to guides. look up "hanging rpm fix".

Do this. It's what I did and it worked. My rpm's were crazy high.
