First things to do??
Okay so in about a month it will be time to put my mustang on the road, I seem to recall lots of threads on little DIY cheap or free things that can or should be done to these cars (parts to clean/modify/remove). But now that I'm looking for them I am having no luck.
Any chance of getting a list of them, I'm fairly mechanicly inclined but lack experience in modifying things, and don't really know what parts to clean or check in order to keep my car dependable, top that with this being my first ford product and I feel really lost. So any help or links to write ups of things to do would be great, also any little "cool" but not needed things would be appreciated (like how to make the fog lights run separate).
One example is I remember reading about a screen to remove for better air flow, where is that and what is the process?

The screen is right around the MAF. You should also remove the snorkel in the intake system. You can also remove the wishbone from under the differential to shave a little bit of weight off. The foglights running separately is just pulling the headlight **** out one notch instead of 2 and having your foglight button on. Another something you should do before you put her on the road is just put new plugs in, change the fuel filter, and then I think you'll be set.
Thanks, I know it has new plugs (within the last 2K miles), and I put the fuel filter in within the last thousand, not sure on the rest of the maintenance it was my dad's car before he passed. I'm looking to keep it mostly stock and just "pep it up" a bit with some little things and possibly a full exhaust and gear change.
The screen is the one on the end of the air intake just after the air filter correct? And what is the wishbone and what is it made to do?
