02 Mustang GT, need advise before mods
We bought our second Mustang last week. It is a 2002 GT with 45k miles.
The business I work at distributes auto accessories, and because we buy accessories from certain manufacturers I can get them at distributor cost.
These are the people we deal with that I can buy mods from, what do you guys recommend we try?
Tuners
Superchips
Diablosport
Exhausts
Magnaflow
Bassani
Intakes
Green
K&N
aFe
I am thinking the Diablosport/aFe/Magnaflow combo.
Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to lend.

Hey, for your intake, just get a K&N drop in replacement filter. your stock intake set-up is already really good and the filter is the weakest point really. You don't need to spend the extra dough for the tubing and all - just get a filter!!

OP you have a 05+? I would recommend a SCT Tuner or DiabloSport just because I have heard you pretty much need to adjust your tune for every mod you do w/ a 05+ gt.
there is a whole thread category dedicated to your year/body style I would hit it up too.

The 02 GT is our second mustang, we are modding it, not the 08.

oh ok nice. Well in that case for exhaust, I personally would look into either Magnaflow Magnapacks, or Borla Stingers
But as far as tuners go, I would use what is most popular. not saying the other brands are bad, but it really helps to be using a device that more people are experienced with, you know?
And as far as a CAI, your stock CAI w/ a drop in K&N filter will perform just as good as any aftermarket CAI. HOWEVER, if you are going for sol looks under the hood, I have always loved my JLT Intake. (cold air and the other one both look nice under the hood)
