Default Front and Rear STB?

Are they worth it? I hear some people say no and others say yes...

What is the deal with these things?!

If i got a front and rear strut tower brace, i'm not going to have increased handling or anything like that?

Not really. I would only get a front strut tower brace if anything. I've heard they might give some tightness but no real added cornering benefit I'd say. I'm not getting one.

Unless your a serious track hound it probably doesn't make a difference. I have heard it will help on Convertibles because it stiffens the front a bit. But for a coupe I think it is negligible. At least that is what I have been told by some of the Ford Racing guys as well as the Steeda folks.

They look cool, but it could all be a bunch of hooey too!

I'm not arguing with you I just found it funny that Steeda told you that and I found this on there website

Strut tower braces are the biggest crock of crap...well, maybe not the biggest...but it ranks up there. In fact, one put on the front can hinder the handling...you are further ahead to concentrate on sub frame connectors and upgraded suspension components.

i don't have one but you would only notice it truly pushing your car to the limit in the cornering department. I actually pushed my car last weekend from a car show hard through the twisties and it handled extremely well 60 mph + cornering no STBs, but do have subframes and lowered.

Normal driving or sprited driving you won't notice a difference IMO.

When I had my Kenny Brown front bar on I noticed it. Iv always wanted to add another one but havnt seen one for a good deal yet. Iv wanted to try out the new ones they have on AM that are 2 point bars. I dont think its bad mod by any means. Id take it over a CAI or something like that.

Like I said if your a serious Track Hound either road course/auto X and or Drag strip they do in fact help with frame stiffening therefore giving you more responsiveness to either curves or torque.

But for the average hobbyist like me. Negligible at best for the rear. Front does make a difference at least on my convertible.

I think for a cobra(or someone with an IRS swap) the rear would help out a lot more than an SRA car. The weight transfer on the rear side to side is so slow, the wave is low n slow with not a whole lot of energy behind it to really twist the rear I wouldnt think. Now if you had a TA and PHB or watts it would be a diff story. I think the IRS would tranfer weight and energy a lot faster so the bar would be a little more useful to dampen the moment created.
