Default Wheel Spacers?

I have been throwin around the idea of getting some wheel spacers for up front on my car... However, i don't want to pay 100+ for something so stupid (IMO of course)

What do you guys think if i bought 2 pairs of these and stacked them next to each other for a 1/2" spacer?

Do you think the lugs will be able to get on the studs suffficiently or should i just throw this whole idea out?

Just wonderin

I would stay away personally. You will put so much extra stress on the lugs which could cause them to fail unless you wanted to put longer studs in.

I'm trying to figure out what size spacer you would need before you have to get longer studs. I think anything 3/8 and over and I'll need longer studs judging by some searching I've been doing. I wonder if you have to cut the studs to get the wheel on with a spacer like hubcentric and aftermarket bullitt wheels...?

sorry im trying not to thread jack, but does any one think that these 60 dollar ebay 1.5 inch spacers are just as good as AMS 100+ set?

IMO 1.5" is too much. My rear end isn't that low and I only have 255 tires and I was having issues with rubbing. Pulling into my driveway cause my quarterpanel to shear off a bit of my tire.

I have one inch spacers and running a 285 tire in the rear and it shredded my tire on the drivers side pretty bad. I've since bought a new tire. Once I return home gonna get my fenders curved in and hope to have no issues. The spacers that I bought were item#50003 off AM and they are very good quality..

hp..... it is VERY difficult to install spacers up front properly/safely!

I would not add ANY spacer thickness to OEM studs as they are not long enough. The industry standard is a number of threads equal to the diameter of the stud bolt. In this case, you have 1/2" RH 20tpi studs, so 1/2" worth of threads is considered acceptable. Personally, I think this is too little and had my rear studs milled to have 1" of threads in each nut while running 1/2" spacers.

What wheels are you running currently (width and off-set or back-space info needed here) and do you have your front fenders rolled?
