Default Brake Lines

Does anyone know of a site that sells stainless steel brake lines (not the hoses) for a 96 mustang?

My mechanic told me that one of my brake lines were badly pitting and it would need to be replaced soon. I don't know how much that will run. I know I can get stainless steel tubing, I just was looking to see if I can have it pre bent when it is shipped.

Even though you were careful to be clear, I still misunderstood

Try Napa auto and places like that. Unless Ford sells them, I see not choice but to bend to shape.

^no i think you understood me

im looking for the line that runs from the master cylinder to the brakes. i know there are online places that have them, but none for mustangs from 94 and on. I was just hoping I wouldn't have to ask for someone to bend them.

Actually.... I had initially liked you to some SS lines for the back of your ride. Right away, I re-read your post and realized I had not read your question closely enough. I would think this would be a very tough piece to install if it were "pre-bent" to actual length and all. There is a lot of stuff that goes into your car after the brake lines are installed.

I have never heard of the issue you mentioned. I assume the lines are aluminum and were damaged by salt on the road for addressing snow in your area....?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I do not think the entire brake line is one peice from the master to the brake hose connection. I think there is a block above the diff where you can replace the section from the block to the brake hose (this is where the lines seem to rot).

With an ABS car, you would need to replace a pair of lines to the back, as you should have a single solid line from the ABS modulator to each wheel. Mine is below the front passenger-side and assume JRad's is probably in the same location.

Do some searching around, but you are dealing with DOT issues of safety here and probably not going to find anything short of matching your existing config.
