Swapping to cobra gauges
#11
I bought these ones because I wanted the white face gauges. I thought the american muscle gauges where too ricey and didn't want ones that said cobra.

check out some mach guages instead dude i think those look 100x better than cobra guages. cobra guages are literally the exact same as white GT face guages.
but can't you jsut drop a cobra white guage face over your stock GT face? the only thing different on the 2 is the RPM redline. they both go to 8,000RPM so there should be zero difference in the RPM reading. both go to 150mph so your speed should be identical also.

something like this. says for GT but looks more like a 4v one because of the redline. other than the redline, its the exact same as a GT face.

I'm so glad I ditched overlays, I'm never going back! The damned things were flexing a lot, and therefore sticking, thanks to the constantly fluctuating Oklahoma whether conditions. They HATED humidity, and progressively got worse to the point they did it every day. Caveat emptor.
I did the Mach 1 gauge swap in my car, and it was really easy. You MIGHT have to swap the circuit boards, but I'm not exactly sure since your car has the mechanical odometer. The circuit swap on 99-04 cars keeps your mileage correct and is necessary for the car to start (or you can have it reprogrammed). You MIGHT have to have the speedo set if the Cobras have 160mph speedos.

and those were just the first ones i looked at on AM op. there are plenty of white face guages that are less "rice" looking. hell you could even buy a cobra's guage, take a paint scraper and remove the overlay, and place it over yours.
and forgot about the digital odo my bad.

I forgot to mention these guys: http://caribbeancustomdesigns.com/store/
They make you a whole new face for your existing cluster (requires needle removal) to your specs. There is a few months lead time from what I understand, but it's worth a try and might save you some money to boot.
