whoever told you that is stupid.

you may have misinterpereted certain things tho. kenne bell for instance sends a canned tune with their blower kits (which i dont reccomend running anyway) and that is for basically a completely stock mustang with no headers (catback and midpipe are fine). once you do the headers, their tune is no longer safe. so they tell you not to run headers with their tune, but a good dyno tune it doesnt matter wtf you have on your car.

i noticed you didnt say you had a plenum or underdrive pulleys both can add some hp the acufab plenum shows a gain of 6hp on a true dyno tune and the pulleys claim anywhere between 8-12 more likely about 5-8 thou both are in the 200 dollar range but if you get pulleys make sure you get steeda's and not the BBK ones.

Plenum I would say is a good investment, but you can argue the pulleys. Personally I wish I had saved the money I spent on those and got something more cost effective.

This makes me want to make a simple point which many guys don't think about. Most guys only look at peak HP numbers when evaluating a mod. You really have to look at gains all the way across the rpm range. It is not peak numbers that you want. You really want to increase the area under the power curve. I'd gladly take an increase of 10HP all the way across the rpm range instead of a 20HP increase just near the peak. Don't be too quick to discredit a mod because it didn't bump the peak number much. It may have increased the power at some other point in the rpm range...
