No variable cam timing possible on a 2V conversion

The conversion parts are already available from Logan Motorsports to use standard 2V headers and a Cobra throttle body front mounted to the stock plastic 3V intake

A good 3V head would flow like a 4V on the intake side with more lift possible, and more than enough on the exhaust side since the single large valve opens into the center of the bore like a Hemi head.

Most important issue to the 3V head is the current plastic Mustang intake makes tons of street power for dirt cheap, like under $100 typically for a new take off. Thats the problem with the current TFS 2V head, any intake other than the plastic PI is too high of an RPM for most guys.

Also - 3V cams are nearly half the price of 4V cams

Main problem with the OEM 3V head are the craptastic spark plugs, the grand canyon combustion chamber, and the too thin (for the head diameter) 6mm exhaust valve stem. If you cured these 3 things with a typical ported 3V head flow and made the exhaust port dual 2V/3V bolt pattern it would sell IMHO.

but with a 3v motor you also need a new hood ( if you put it in a new edge, i assume sn'sare the same as well) which will tack on another ~$500.

Still worth the extra $500 to be able to make 350-375hp N/A and keep it streetable. Besides a new hood would only make the car look better.

Price would be the biggest barrier for a TFS head set. Especially seeing as you can get ported stock versions of the 4v heads from the likes of http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/...mponents.shtml starting at $2829

Of course with companies like Fox Lake porting the 2v TFS heads, I'm sure there'll be some port room left for even more potential, IF the proposed 4v TFS flow as well as the ported stock versions available.
