A tune on a 3v is a kick in the nuts compared to a 2v tune. w/e Ford did with the 3v's, they did it right.

How much you gain from a tune depends on what else you have done. Even on an otherwise stock mustang 2v, there is definitely some power to be gained by tuning it. I have seen 2-3 tenths just from bumping the timing from the stock tune to a tune optimized for 91 octane.

Of course I have seen 3v guys get more than that from a mail order BAMA tune LOL

I don't think I would ever switch this thing to a 4v. I know with the right set of heads and cams, this thing would be capable of a much lower ET. After all, for a top end, I am running stock heads and blower cams right now LOL. I don't know if 11s are out of the question keeping the full interior and everything like it is now. It would be interesting to find out

I think if I ever really wanted a 4v, I would try to pick up a 98 cobra some time down the road and make that 4v sing.
